But it was um but for whatever reason Asian Americans seemed to excel in various forms of of academic work.

And therefore the grades that Asian Americans had to get in order to get into colleges like Yale or Harvard were extraordinarily higher than any other group.

And so it got to be the point where very, very able Asian students were being turned away.

And less able students from other ethnic backgrounds were being uh carted in uh in order to meet these sort of quotas that no college could quite acknowledge existed, but obviously existed, looking at how people were being accepted into these universities.

Anyway, thanks to the uh clear and blatant discrimination against a minority group, Asian Americans, this was struck down.

I think we're going to

Start to see changes over this year, next year, the year after, and perhaps because Britain is so often a decade downstream of the United States, we might be able to follow in some of that example because it is so blatantly clear.

I mean, critical race theory, as I understand it.

is basically predicated on the notion that if there is any group difference between

any group, the starting point is this must be discrimination rather than any inherent difference between groups, uh, for whatever reason.

And and and that then breeds to this idea that there is rampant discrimination because we do see disparate outcomes between different groups.

And uh and and then that leads to the worst policy solutions, which are, oh, let's not deal with stuff in early years education.

Or let's not look at I don't know family stability or or or all sorts of other things.

No, let's just top it up at the end of the process and hope that that's fine.

And low and lower the standards.

And then and then you get to this crazy position that we're at in now where universities have um well, I mean, lots of people would say, look at look at the access.

And then

It's it's really wonderful.

But then employment opportunities for ethnic monetization.

Minorities graduating from our top universities are so much worse than employment opportunities for other groups.
