Asking why is any of this accompanied by a phenomenon
felt experience or quality is not a coherent question.
If we understand the brain correctly, if we understand the functional part, the evolutionary question, then that's the whole question.

Just to clarify something for me, again, I don't like the word illusionism and I think it's awful and everything, but it really is, as I read it, it's not a claim about non-existence as much as it's a claim about our phenomenal experience or our experience being, it's a misrepresentation.
There is a real mechanism.
It runs on the brain.
But what it depicts is it doesn't actually have the properties that people think it does, the intrinsic property, ineffable property stuff, that it doesn't actually have those properties.
That's the illusion is, yeah, that kind of thing, which is a little bit hard to sort through, I guess, sometimes if we bring it to like real examples.
Obviously, we both, he doesn't want to deny felt experience, right?
