What I took as a response is that the description, you're correct, can't be logically distinct because we're at the level of mental description.
We don't have that nominal logical character.
So we can't, it's sort of a hole there, the reason and the action that you took.

But on the causal level, they're still separable.
The event of having the, like you said, the pro attitude, and then the event of doing the action, they're still separable in the event.
