Although they will come away and say, well, there wasn't anything controversial about that film.
Yeah, there was a conversation about that.
And you can bet that someone turned around and said that they were uncomfortable with that music being played.
Because there are other artists whose music isn't played.
There are other artists who there have been allegations or those artists have got themselves into trouble and their music just isn't played anymore.
But for some reason, Michael Jackson continues to just soar above all of that noise.
There's been a lot of talk too that because the Jackson estate was involved in the Michael Jackson film, it was never going to, and I said it already, cast a singer in a bad light.
We were only ever going to get a positive Michael Jackson story.
So there's been a lot of talk about how the people who the film is about probably shouldn't be involved in the film.
And I also,
I don't think that's the case at all.
I always mention Rocketman, the Elton John biopic, which is, for my money, the best music biopic of the last 20 years.
It had an imagination, a fantastic story.
It wasn't sort of a, you know, cradle to the grave, although Elton John's still with us.
It didn't feel the need to cover everything.
It stops in the 80s.
And Taron Egerton wasn't doing an Elton John impersonation.
He was playing a character and that made it more interesting.
He didn't have to look or sound like.
And as a result of that, we actually believed him more.
