You're just going to be a great skater that people don't want to be like or buy anything of yours.
And they'll want to watch your video and they'll be happy with it.
But they'll be like this to that one guy that they just can connect with that has a...
you know a connection with the culture with the neighborhood with you know the vibe of what makes you want to skateboard like the inspiration it takes to to be a professional skater because you're gonna have to go through all these roadblocks and all these like teams sponsors how you get to be uh popular and how do you not become a kook or or a sellout you know all these things
And the great ones have a difficult time because they're always having to be the ones where they can't accept this massive contract because the brand is just not going to be good and compliment their other brands that they're sponsored by.
So it's a tough go, but to watch these skaters have to sometimes risk it.
And to do it, I had to risk it.
I had to say, you know what, I'm doing it myself.
And I risked it.
And it paid off in the end because it's all about like your passion and your heart and soul to what you do.
And it's skateboarding.
It's not all this other stuff.
You know what I mean?
Covers of magazines, winning, you know, the trophy, first place.
world champion, Guinness, but whatever, Hall of Fame, all these things, I think that the main thing needs to be that you love skateboarding.
And if you love it, I don't think anything's gonna detour anyone from rejecting you or canceling you or saying that you're this or you're that.
I think that it takes, and consistent.
It can't be just passionate one day and not the next.
You know, and especially when it's doing great, you know what I mean?
It's easy to be like, this is amazing too.
