What's that trick called?
That is a layback air.
Back then, the laybacker was considered kind of like a wonky kind of trick.
But, you know, when I learned it, I learned it that way where I did them upside down.
And people kind of gave me the pass to do it in a contest.
And then after a while, it became kind of like my signature move because everybody's doing, you know, sad plants, Smith plants, frontside inverts, eggplants.
And I had kind of like my own because no one could do it.
Only me.
I think it was Alan Losey.
Jeff Phillips and then Todd Joseph, he did this roll around one which kind of like became acceptable.
But it wasn't something, it was a trick that was kind of shunned upon in competition and in the skateboard world.
Because it's just one of those tricks that's just, you know, it's like this.
And it just was kind of like talked about as like not a cool trick to do.
and it kind of gave me more points because I did something that was so, so kind of like frowned upon, but you, yeah, it has a bad, has a bad, you know, rep to like do it in a way that they were like, wow.
Okay.
He gets points for that just for doing something that's not accepted to, you know,
