We can say, hey, look what we found at Tribal Council.

We're gonna be safe tonight.

It's a lie, but who would think?

It's like a magic trick.

You know, and honestly, one thing I learned, you know, there's a lot of overlap between skepticism and like magic acts.

I mean, and I think, I remember, I feel like magicians would say like, you gotta do more effort than people would think the trick is worth.

Like who would think you'll go through all the effort to set up a fake pratfall at tribal council and put that there?

No one would believe that, right?

And that's what made it an effective trick.

And we had an agreement that if we were ever at a tribal council, if any one of us felt we need it, we would go grab it, which is great because then we were promptly swapped onto different tribes.

And I was going to tribal council and he wasn't.

Only problem, he didn't tell me where he hid the damn thing.

So I was like, I'd be at tribal council.

I'm like, look around, where the hell did he hide this fake idol?

No, no, your first instinct is right.

It's shocking how few conversations happen, which you might think is crazy because literally we're on an island for like about a month, right?

It's like, oh, you gotta be bored talking with people.

It's like, well, in order to have a private conversation with someone, it's inherently suspicious.

You have to find an excuse to get away with them.

And you got to make sure you cover all the topics.
