There's the camera operator holding a giant camera.
I don't know cameras that well, but it's huge.
And then you have a sound operator, a sound technician who's holding a boom mic over their head, over our heads, just out of shot.
And then there's a third assistant behind them who has a backpack full of SD cards and has three tripods strapped to their back.
And so if you're walking down a pathway, they are walking backwards in front of you.
This is with all that equipment.
And sometimes on a beach, you kind of have to walk down like a steep hill.
And I remember I would walk down this hill to have a conversation down below with someone about voting out X, Y, or Z. And then the camera people would run down and like down the hill, set up the shot, start walking backwards as we're walking down.
And I remember I said, oh shoot, I forgot something back up at camp.
and I went to go walk back up the hill, and the camera guys, all three of them, just zipped right up the hill again, with all their equipment, to point the camera down at me while coming up.
I'm like, how did they do this?
And they're like, you realize, in their spare time, these camera operators hike Mount Kilimanjaro.
That's what they do.
They are that fit.
So it's just the amount, sheer amount of effort that they put in to get the shot.
I'm like, that's incredible.
To the point where like, there was one time I was trying to have a private conversation out in the water.
And because the water care, you know, Sherry, Cal Sound carries well over water.
I went really far with this young woman to talk with her out in the water.
And I started to have this conversation out by the reef.
