Yeah, it's poison.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you talk to any of the call, if you talk to any colleagues that are like in the, that are in the line of fire for any of these cuts, it is just incredibly stressful for them.
Like, like any meeting you see them at, they're like, it's like, it's like the first 10 minutes, it's like, yeah, we don't even know about funding in a month or we're going to get our money.
We're gonna be able to pay our students soon, but we're still trying to plan what they're going to do with the money, what the next experiment is.
So like they have to, you have to live in these two minds of perpetual uncertainty, which is just horrible.
And Cara, your friends, I apologize, your friends, if they're at these government institutions, that's gotta be incredibly stressful.
At least in the university systems, as much as they're dependent upon grant funding, they'll do things like, at the university level, we'll extend funding to like,
cover you over the gaps where they're like, oh, we will make sure we back up your grants because we know it's important to maintain stability, keep your students from dropping out of the program.
They can do that for a little bit.
But if you're purely under a government organization, you don't have that kind of even temporary safety net.
So that's got to be just rough.
Sorry, Kara, I just had to interrupt here.
I was hoping for a more perfect person to talk on this topic.
Do we have anyone around that is also... There are some people I could call up.
One thing I thought she's interesting, Kara, that I was about the evidence on like coercive effects of people.
And I think that that'd be one of the things that I imagine would be sticking point for people is like, oh, them being talked into, you know, assisted assisted dying.
How is do you know how that's measured?
Like, you know, obviously, it's hard to ask them after the fact.
