I was going to ask about the black womanhood piece because I think that when you drill down, black women and menopause and just reproductive health in general is just a maze. And we're misdiagnosed and underdiagnosed. And we're at greater risk.
So what would you say to Black women specifically, especially those that maybe don't even have the tools and the vocabulary to understand what's happening with their bodies?

For like a woman at home who's maybe like in her early 70s, is it too late for her? Can she jump on this train and try the V-fit and the gel and the hormone replacement therapy? Because sometimes it feels like the conversation is geared to 40s to like late 50s.

That's for my parents. This woman has a MacArthur genius grant. So she's written a ton of books. For those at home that may not be familiar, Ruha is a tenured professor at Princeton University. That's why I'm like, she's not an amateur, guys. So Nigerian. Let me tell you something.
Ruha, it's interesting you say that. The thing that made me come across you, not first, but a very viral moment, you gave a commencement speech at your alma mater, Spelman College, and you said black faces in high places will not save us. And for some people who really believe in like representation politics, they jump up against that idea. They think, no, we need black faces in high spaces.
What brought you to that conclusion? Because it's a very radical one. And also, like, I would say kind of cynical as well. I mean, I'm a cynical person, but I'm just interested about what about your life path brought you to that place? It doesn't matter if it's a black person at the top. Yes. This system is rotten.
