We're gonna talk in a moment, Jamie, about elections coming up in Israel and again voice-verified

Really, really important because of the same kind of forever war mentality that the current government in Israel appears to be voice-verified

I believe the date is October twenty-seventh, and it's the kind of thing that Benjamin Netanyahu I think has been trying to put off for a while because he does not want this moment of accountability for many, many reasons. voice-verified

And especially at a time when he is uh, you know, very much lower in the polls than he would like to be, and the opposition voice-verified

that is trying to beat him, is ahead of him in the polls. voice-verified

Uh particularly one of them is a very, very senior former leader of the IDF, the Israeli Defence Forces, who's taken issue with quite a lot of Netanyahu's military policies since October seventh. voice-verified

And it comes at a time when Israel is under unprecedented international scrutiny. voice-verified

Just to explain for anybody who might not know, although I think this has been such a an issue that everybody does know, since nineteen sixty-seven Israel has occupied the West Bank after winning that territory uh in the war back then, the six-day war that the Arabs launched against Israel. voice-verified
