So hi Matt, and let's get started with the questions this week.

So I'm going to ask you the first one.

What do you think we should make of the CIA director's recent visit to Moscow?

Do you believe Putin could be genuinely considering an attack on a NATO country?

We discussed it a little bit in the main episode, but I think it's worth talking about again because it's very unusual to send the spy chief.

You know, it means, as some have said, that actually diplomacy has failed and now emergency interventions.

are being are being made.

A very dangerous moment, particularly as you put it in the context of having done the same thing in twenty twenty two, try to warn Putin and he did it anyway.

But um this idea of provoking NATO is a live idea.

And I am absolutely sure that uh Ratcliffe basically read them the Riot Act and said, Don't listen to what Trump says, believe what he means, which is that he supports NATO, and we will not tolerate uh uh uh an attack on a NATO country.

That's what the Wall Street Journal has reported.

And the other thing is trying to tell them the truth about their back.

Battlefield reality, which is very bad, uh, and urging them to try to well well to go and s and you know, dis declare victory and seek um a peace deal.

But there's no no sign at all from Putin that he wants to do that.

But uh yeah, that that part is very, very difficult.

And I just remember talking to the Czech president, Peter Pavel, I keep bringing it up, because he thinks that Putin may have

boxed himself into such a a a a qu uh a corner in that he so militarized his whole country that
