So as I came online, we were talking about the res resignation of of uh the very senior general in the US Pentagon.
Take it away a little bit, remind everybody his name, his job, and why this matters so much right now.
And I'm not sure the way you put it there, I'm not sure whether Trump even really knew about it.
And I say that advisedly because you've just spoken about how often Trump is p apparently not getting the full news that he should get.
And we know since the beginning of this war that Hegseth has been presenting him with very tailored, highly edited, the best look, shall we say, uh of videos, some using AI.
Some using, you know, fake video and and other such thing, w you know, video game stuff and all the rest of it.
So it is a mess.
Pete Heggseth is actually, in my opinion, and this is my opinion now, a very dangerous person to have at the top of the superpowers military at a time when they've gone into a war of choice.
But you know what I want to say, uh, as you're
about this and yes I was wrong.
Driscoll is a the civilian and not the not the uh military, but that's also very important.
It strikes me, Matt, and I don't know what you think about this, that if Trump is not getting
enough of the right information that he should which we assume to be the case right now.
It's very much like Putin apparently not getting the information he should from his sycophantic and probably terrified group of intelligence officials, military officials, political officials.
To the point that just before this Driscoll resignation, there was a big kerfuffle about why was the CIA director, John Ratcliffe, sent quote unquote secretly to Russia
Whether or not he met Putin, I don't know, but he certainly talked to his uh intelligence counterparts there.
