And they did the same thing after Alex Pretty died.
They're just using these deaths as a way to expand and grow their movement.
They believe there's strength in numbers.
They believe that they can't possibly arrest all of us or we can't all get killed, I guess.
So they're just trying to have a revolution, I guess.
I don't know.
It's hard to get into the minds exactly.
Right.
And so the people, the architects of this movement, these people are salaried, progressive nonprofit workers.
But the model itself is designed to scale and sustain itself through volunteers.
And I think one of the things that troubled me the most is, you know, I watched this training that Defend the 612 held the day after Rene Good died.
And
I was expecting to hear something along the lines of, you know, don't do what Renee Good did.
Put your personal safety first.
And that never happened.
In fact, it was the opposite.
They downplayed her death.
They said Renee Good was doing a driving patrol.
And, you know, there's some risk involved, some physical risk involved with doing driving patrols.
But the biggest risk of all is to do nothing.
