And maybe you could say, though, that the more important difference is where we went.
We went.
to the moon.
We have a relationship with the moon, which is something that's meant something to all of us.
It's meant something to civilization since the beginning of time.
And we left part of ourselves there.
We miss it.
And having this destination that we got to go explore is another aspect that we have to internalize.
Different from the space station.
And still internalizing.
And still internalizing.
But the space station enabled our mission.
The 25 years of continuous people living on board, everything we've learned there about how to operate, about teamwork, we brought that with us.
Not at all.
I think what I would really want to say to them right now in this moment is, you are enough.
And I say that because
So in my high school, someone donated a statue of me.
And it made me uneasy.
Something about it just didn't sit perfectly well with me.
And it wasn't just my humility or something like that.
