Work is salvation.
Work is absolutely grounding.
And now I have my Gilded Age family.
I love it.
I love all the actors on the Gilded Age.
So, you know, I'm going to take so much baggage up to heaven.
I have just...
bags full of memories and I don't have any one favorite thing but I do remember being flouncing around as Helena in a big wide hat and I was falling in love with Matthew then he he drove me on the motorcycle from Garden City Long Island where I was doing ghosts and then he'd take me to rehearsal to the public theater and I was I was in love with this very extraordinary guy and
I was so alive then that maybe... And that feeling of life and love infused my performance.
So Midsummer Night's Dream was very special.
I think you can still access it on YouTube, but...
It was magical.
And I was outside in the park performing Shakespeare.
And, of course, Helena has those marvelous plaintive monologues.
She suffers so, and she's so in love.
And I do think it's really one of my favorite performances.
Does that mean I have to start talking about my death, my inevitable?
I thought she could do anything.
She could do anything?
Except I don't think she could sing.
