Um, I am not the world's greatest writer.
I am not the world's greatest reporter.
But I think I am one of the h world's hardest workers.
And I also take a lot of time at this stage of my career.
I certainly carved it out, take time off.
I I I do that.
I stop and smell the roses all the time.
But
If you're willing to work harder than everybody else, and that's was my case, you know, it's uh and that includes on scoops.
So that includes the reporting part or the writing part or rewriting something or having f another person read it and then change it and you really don't have time but and you're f sick of it, but you do want to take the extra time, do it again.
uh get better you know, make it better.
Um you don't have to do that every day of your life.
And you can have a life and you certainly can have a family and you can have weekends.
But I often encourage at especially for internships for young people, Kevin.
that um if you're if you're there, uh, as long as it's allowed union wise, if there's a union or whatever, you don't want to break rules.
But if you say, hey, you know, on Saturday I could come in and answer call, answer phones, or I could take high school scores, or, you know, I'd love to go out.
If they're gonna go out on the fire, could I join in and just and and help help set up the shot or whatever m medium it is?
Um, if you're willing to put in the extra hours, then that's the moment where
Okay, no one's in the newsroom except you or you just got there.
Something big happens, hey kid, go out there and do it.
