I personally was also very skeptical of the Iran intervention that we've been and still seem to be still seem to be embroiled in.

I think there's a reasonable politics to arrive at.

But Tucker has gone.

I mean, right.

He has gone way beyond that, like way beyond that.

Maybe the argument is on the other side.

And look, it's a fair argument worth considering is that it's so far beyond whatever goodwill he has created over his many decades in politics.

Has he burned all of that goodwill?

Is he beyond goodwill into ill will, into doing real damage to America's interests at home and abroad?

Yeah.

I don't want that to be true.

I really, truly don't want that to be true.

But many people in these behind-the-scenes conversations that you and I have both been involved in, I'm sure there's many people who make the argument, yeah, this is too far for too long on too many issues.

And I guess I'm still holding out hope a little bit.

Like, no, actually...

he could still be rationally persuaded on the merits without engaging in a smear campaign or villainization campaign, but actually say, hey, come back in into this conversation and could be a productive force once again.
