And while the war in Ukraine has halted much of the flow of Russian gas into Europe, Germany's far-right AFD party is reportedly planning talks with a top Kremlin advisor about bringing Russian gas back to Germany.
The meeting could happen as early as next spring, but only if a peace deal framework is agreed to between Russia and Ukraine.
The AFD says cheaper Russian energy could help Germany's struggling economy.
But critics warn reopening Russian gas flow could make Europe once again dependent on Moscow and pose a risk to European security.
While the AFD isn't a part of Germany's ruling government, it's currently the country's most popular party in voter Poland.

The United Nations finds evidence of war crimes in Iran.
A United Nations fact-finding mission says it has reasonable grounds to believe that the United States has committed war crimes in Iran.
The independent experts found evidence related to two attacks in February, including one on a school in the southern city of Manab that killed more than 150 people, including around 120 schoolchildren.
The mission concluded the school was the intended target, not collateral damage from a strike on a nearby Revolutionary Guard compound.
The Trump administration has not released findings from its Pentagon investigation into the school bombing.
The UN report also accuses Iran's government of crimes against humanity in its crackdown on protesters.
Meanwhile, China is asking Iran to help rein in Yemen's Houthi rebels.
Saudi Arabia called in the favor from Beijing following the Houthis' military blitz this week.
