I started this journey when I was about 13 years old.

I used to take my scissors to school and cut my teacher and bus driver's hair.

On picture day, all the kids in the neighborhood would come over, and I'd do their hair and makeup for pictures.

At my mother's restaurant, the Cortez Cafe, I used to line the old men out the back door.

$10 a haircut when I was a young girl.

My journey started when I was very young.

I knew from a young age I was going to be a salon and spa owner one day.

So my journey started then.

But, you know, before I even knew it.

Yeah.

It is a little girl that found me.

So it's something that I'm very passionate about.

Like, I don't go to work.

I go to play life to play.

Yeah, you're jumping in.

I'm just, I'm into it.

I love it.

My daughters follow it in my footsteps.

We're a local mother and daughter duo.
