Typically when we do our evaluations at Copilot, we've led sort of this uh framework where we asked uh users to come with their own prompts and they test out
uh one model in isolation, they come up with the prompt, interact with the AI.
So it's more than just one turn.
multi turn interactive experience.
So they really kind of
they're immersed in that sort of model's experience and how uh that model is responding to them.
After that, they try a different model and they do the same thing.
And so our evaluations take that into account.
So that two sort of side by side but like isolated experiences.
And then users evaluate both experiences.
They tell us which one they prefer.
after each experience they go through a rubric where they rate
model on different dimensions.
I feel like that's a very a human thing to do, right?
To ask your friends, your family.
about, you know, what do you think of this product?
But they're usually a bad proxy for the market, right? 'Cause we
You know, especially if you live in the south.
If you go to a bar or cafe, you're gonna run into other very like-minded people working at like-minded similar companies or even another area company.
And sort of sort of that's the value of user research.
