Because just walking away, the consequences of that are even worse than some of the consequences we've all been thinking about.

Another angle to this story that just needs underlining here is that the irrelevance of Congress continues.

There's your eight, your so-called gang of eight.

They all were given a heads up.

Looks like it was Marco Rubio that did the calls to Mark Warner, at least to some of the Democrats.

We don't know if it was

All of them, if he did all the calls.

But we do know the Democrats have gone public and said that they spoke to Rubio before the strike started.

As I went through this earlier this week, the rationale the president gave seemed to really be regime change.

And he never just said regime change.
