You know, we all know the story.
Suddenly the American carmakers were no longer king.
And, you know, there's a there's a lot of ways that this went down.
But I look at it and I think, boy, is there a what are the red flags that happened with the auto industry in Detroit that could happen to San Francisco and Silicon Valley and in California if they're not careful?
We can buy our way in if we miss out on a technological.
I mean, I just saw Ford may do a deal with China's largest TV maker.
You're like, OK.
The infrastructure to make roads, I mean, to make the automobile- We don't sell as many cars if the country doesn't build highways, right?
What today's capitalists don't realize is that this is the federal government work hand in hand with industry, whether it was to build railroad tracks in the late 19th century or the freeway or the interstate highway system.
I know I I know what I thought this was the great failure of the Biden infrastructure bill.
All it did was shovel cash out the door.
It didn't take the EV stations.
It appropriated all this money to build EV, essentially, powering stations.
But it was waiting for some private entity to take the tax credit and do it.
Rather than just going and doing it and building the infrastructure, it is...
You know, this is, I think, explains why there's this whole movement in the Democratic Party of, hey, maybe the Democrats ought to learn how to build stuff again.
