Hi, thank you so much for having me.
I'm very excited to be here and to discuss my favorite thing, books.
Most of this year I've been reading a lot of young adult romance and science fiction fantasy.
I think those have been genres that everyone has been really excited about, taking a lot of pleasure and solace in.
And so it's been fun leaning into that with customers to see what they're excited about and how that connects with me.
The Everlasting by Alex E. Harrow.
I would recommend it for anyone who is interested in anything science fiction, anything fantasy.
It is a story of a bumbling historian who keeps getting sent back in time to hell.
encourage a knight to finish her journey.
And every time he goes back, her story changes just a little bit.
He's being sent back, I believe it's 1000 years.
And every time he comes back to the present, you see how his world is a little bit impacted.
And this book just really talks about nationalism, propaganda, how the stories that we are told about our heroes, how that influences the choices that we make.
And there's a love story.
And that is also showing
Who defines who we are?
Both these larger narratives that we live by and then those interpersonal connections that we have that drive us.
And there's that give and take between the two of them.
I thought Alex did an amazing job with it.
