Interestingly, in two thousand and sixteen, former UVF and Red Hand Commando member Winston Winky Ray was charged with nineteen offences, including aiding and abetting murder.
You'll remember Yeah.
Anyone who'll remember that case because Winky Ray was taken to court in very ill health.
He was in a wheelchair I I uh he was a very old man.
He he died in December two thousand twenty three while awaiting trial.
So
So that maybe would have changed the legal circumstances around the tapes, but but again, that did not come to pass.
Mm.
So this project, the Belfast project as it's officially known, the
Boston Tapes as we as we call it.
It is dead but not dead.
It's in a zombie state.
And obviously it it kind of came back into the news slightly when it featured in the TV drama series Say Nothing, which we made a podcast about and there's huge interest in.
