And the costs to the building society was something like three or four million.

I'd have to look back, but it was something of that order.

We should remember, of course, Irish Nationwide cost Irish taxpayers 5.4 billion to rescue.

NAMA was wound up a couple of weeks ago.

And NAMA, of course, was set up in 2009 initially to take the bad loans, bad property loans off the balance sheets of the domestic lenders and to sort them out.

And did so.

Do you think Naama did a good job, actually, over the years?

For a number of years, Brendan McDonagh certainly thinks they've done a good job, I suppose he would.

He led the organisation from inception and now he's back working with the NTMA.

Yeah, sure.

Now, he never stated this, but the politicians at the time, in advance of NAMA being set up when it was being talked about, they told us that they were going to go to the ends of the earth to get all the money back, all the 70 odd billion that was face value loans back from the various property developers.

But of course, that never happened and it was never realistic.
