Fighting has once again broken out in the Middle East as the fragile ceasefire between the US and Iran has impacted on shipping going through the Strait of Hormuz.
Dennis Staunton has covered the story for the Irish Times and I began by asking him to sum up the events of the week and where peace talks might go from here.
Yeah, he prides himself on being a daymaker, Donald Trump.
But this hasn't worked out very well, has it?
Dennis, since the war began in February, how much trade has been diverted away from Hormuz?

You're in Shanghai at the moment, but you're normally based in Beijing.

But presumably they must be enjoying the tensions that have emerged now between the United States and Europe, for example, and its other Western allies, and also the discomfort that Trump is going through over the past few months.
Yeah, Chinese car exports are going well, aren't they?
Just yesterday, we found out that they're exceeding one million per month for the first time.
Sure.
And in terms of the US and Iran, we're at an impasse at the moment.
How do you see this playing out, Dennis?
