They're not even looking for players.
Because you're taking a player off the opposition.
you're taking time off the clock and you're taking about 60 yards off the clearance.
There's three things there.
You hit that ball down the middle, the other team are going to walk the ball up because you've got all your men back.
So they're going to walk it up because they've got bodies back there because they're unlikely to have committed everyone forward or they're going to land one in on top of your square and it's a free-for-all.
The slitter is so small, you know, it either goes straight through and it could easily go into the goal or like we saw what happened with Kevin O'Mahony, it breaks out and, you know, forwards have the luxury of gambling, backs don't.
so it drove me around the twist watching it in the sense of look I couldn't give a shit whether a tip win or a waterford win I couldn't care less you know but watching it as just a person who's you know watching these things and thinking Jesus like that would drive you mad I love a good Jamie Wall hobby horse
so that's that's look I don't know what you think of that Joe but it just I just couldn't believe that at you know the amount of analysis and training that goes into these teams that that clearance I don't know who it was it was a Connolly or someone that it's not down inside in you know Setu Arena down in Carrigan or out over the sideline
is it Jack O'Connor for St.
Martins in the Leinster Club final last year against Ballyhale and he had a sideline on the 45 and he pinged it down right into the corner and actually went out for a line ball and I was actually out having a drink at the time and I got a text off somebody like
Jesus, I'd say you love Jack O'Connor's sideline there.
And I had to go onto my phone and see it.
And I just looked back and was like, oh yeah, that was great.
I love that.
You know, when you're back defending like that, Joe, you have guys back there who don't actually know what they're doing back there.
Like Dara is a forward.
A forward at most a midfielder.
They're, you know, Ireland champions.
They have a loss and a draw from two games.
