And I probably struggled the last two weeks looking the lads in the eye because I thought they deserved to win the games and came away with draws.
And tonight I was going, I didn't want to be facing them late on, going, wow, listen, you were brilliant, but we lost.
So the fact that we were able to take something away, yeah, I suppose makes it a little bit easier on us because we did come to try and win the game.
the way it materialised, we'll probably take the point and move on.
Yeah, that's probably the biggest thing for us.
We're still figuring ourselves out, if that makes sense.
We're a lot of new players, we're newly promoted, we're trying to take it up.
I don't know my best team yet, I'm just putting opportunities out there.
I'm liking what I'm seeing.
We know what probably we want to put out for each game and I thought the energy tonight was really good from the lads considering we played on Friday.
There's also an emotional probably low as well after the game conceding late against Drogheda and the emotion that was in the game.
So being able to turn up here tonight, put on a performance like that and leave with something is something we're very proud of.
We felt probably the first 10-15 minutes of the game we were really good and then they began to hurt us but without really penetrating.
We conceded off a free kick in which we have to put our hands up and say you know we had a bit of a mixed up between who was marking who and Lopez obviously being so aggressive was one that we wanted to probably do a better job on and
But then we thought we finished the half quite well as well.
So we probably tried to, don't get me wrong, there were some harsh words being spoken between themselves and myself and that, but we knew that this game was there to get something out of.
We felt that we'd shown in phases and then I thought for the entire second half, especially up to the red card, we were excellent.
We were the dominant team.
We looked like we were going to score and finally broke it down probably in the most dramatic way.
Probably would have rathered it a bit more straightforward than going down to 10 and scoring in the 90 odd minute.
