He's obviously disappointed but I think what's great is you see Rob Cornwall, probably someone at the opposite end of their career, coming in to dig Vinnie out and put in a performance, shut up shop and help us equalise.
Yeah, Vinnie will take big learnings from tonight but we'll just dust off and move on.
Vinnie has a huge role to play before he leaves us in the summer and I thought for a huge part he was excellent, he was stepping in, he was committing and obviously it's a disappointing moment to lose him but thankfully the lads were able to dig in and get us over the line.
No, look, I was disappointed Saturday morning, I'm not going to lie.
We arrived into training and we were getting ready for Monday and I probably didn't realise how bad it was.
I'm surprised the game was allowed to go ahead.
There's divots in the pitch, scorch marks on the pitch and it's unplayable for a Premier Division game now.
The academy teams, girls and boys, we have to use that pitch after it and it's not as good as it was.
Obviously it's damaged now so it needs to be repaired.
Listen, thankfully for me and the players, the game on Monday meant we probably didn't have that much time.
I did walk the pitch early Saturday morning, obviously the night after seeing it in the call out today.
It was just disappointing.
We haven't been on our new pitch long.
So look, I don't think it can ever happen again.
I don't want the book to be thrown at anyone or anything like that, but I just think we'd have to probably highlight the seriousness of that.
It doesn't just have implications on the night, it has a knock-on.
It has a knock-on to the next one and the next one and the next group that are on it.
We just have to make sure that doesn't happen again because obviously we're disappointed.
We're just lucky that we're away from home this Monday against Rovers, Friday against Pats and then the following week against Galway.
So it will give us time to repair it.
