I had visions of the ball bouncing in front of Shane O'Brien down that north stand channel there where I felt Mark Coleman should have been standing or should at least have been covering.
And there was no sign of any cover.
And I just think any inside back who's getting exposed like that, like you never see the Limerick inside backs getting exposed.
given that amount of space in front of them so that was the concern for Cork and it's a concern going forward because I feel like if Limerick had I know Cork had gotten back into the game by this stage but I do feel like if Limerick had kept 15 on the field that they were causing Cork huge problems there and now look that's obviously at 50 minutes that's obviously the big incident in the game for me.
on a puck on a puck out I just I do think so yeah I think that I think I watched watching Limerick yesterday on the Cork puck out and I think Cork had massive problems as well on their puck out they really are the masters of that kind of holding 5-6-7 you know they're kind of
I know down in the league final, they seem to get an idea of what Patrick Collins' max distance was and just be like, right, this is our starting point and the ball is not... You know, you haven't seen them get turned like maybe two years ago down in the park against Cork since, you know?
And I just watch Cork and I know...
The man-marking thing, look, there's far and against.
It seems like anyone who does kind of get over Limerick seems to have an element of it, in fairness.
And I get it, Cork after winning the game, so I'm being negative here for the sake of being negative.
But there's just, it doesn't take long to go wrong.
There was one or two incidents.
Do you remember Kyle Hayes ran onto a break and I think he got turned over for a finish.
he went to bounce the ball off the ground but there just seems to be way too much space either side into the centre back for Cork and I feel like that dam is going to burst if you keep kind of being that way Yeah Jimmy's referenced the fact that Cork did actually win this game the sending off was obviously a huge moment Joe is it the decisive moment?
Yeah, I mean, Cork did finish it off and one of the key things that we saw in the final minutes was Alan Connolly's free-taking.
And what was really interesting to me watching it was, you're just a free-taker under pressure until you're a proven free-taker.
And he misses that one in the first half and people are immediately racing to be like, this guy doesn't have it as a free-taker.
is it kind of those frees laid on that actually end the questions?
And I'm not saying the questions are going to end about Alan Connolly, but he's, you know, he's walked the walk in a really big game there.
And like, that's just what you have to do.
