I woke up at, you know, half seven at the foothills of Mount Fuji and spent like 25 minutes watching every single shot of Rory McIlroy's round on Friday morning.

I was like, say what you like about the internet.

This is good.

This is really, really good.

But, you know, I'm reading these articles saying, oh, well, Rory has it sewn up.

You know, he's six shots ahead.

Everyone who's ever led a master's by... Everyone who's ever led a major tournament by six shots wasn't Rory McIlroy.

Like, congratulations, everyone who wrote an article on Friday evening saying how Rory has just sewn up in becoming a golf writer without apparently ever seeing Rory McIlroy play golf, ever, in your entire career.

Because, I mean, Saturday was the most predictable thing in the world.

I mean, if you'd asked me on Saturday morning, would you take Rory McIlroy leading this tournament by two at the end of Saturday night?

I'd be like, that's the result.

Rory was 90th out of 91 players in driving accuracy on Friday evening and led by six shots.

So, I mean, the data would suggest that, you know, there would be a reversion to the mean, that you can't keep hitting it into the trees and making birdies.

Like, that's just not something that's going to happen.
