It's great training ground for a governor's run for that office because, of course, on the state level, you can't just win with Democrat numbers.

You have to have Republicans and independents.

And like most Kansans, you know, I take a common sense approach.

I'm going to listen to people.

I'm going to collaborate and work together with peers.

And I'm going to listen to the experts in terms of health care and issues like that.

Yeah, there's a lot of things.

I wouldn't have entered this race if there weren't a path to victory for me.

And there have to be certain boxes checked, so to speak.

And it comes down to this background.

I've been in the legislature nine years.

I'm one of the most accomplished Democrats in terms of getting bills passed of my own.

It's hard to get bills passed.

It's even harder as a member of the super minority.

But I've been very successful in that endeavor, getting bills passed.

So my background in terms of being in the legislature, showing that I can work across the aisle.

You know, my very first session, I was a co-founder of the Women's Bipartisan Caucus.

And we are the group that formulated the plan that ended the disastrous Brownback experiment.
