So a few nights ago, he came home after talking on the phone with one of his sisters and one of his mates and basically told me that the proposal conversations had been stressing him out and putting strain on the relationship.

He said our timelines weren't aligning and that he didn't want to feel pressured into proposing on my terms, she's put my terms, instead of his own.

I completely broke internally hearing that.

She's got excited.

She's built it up in her head.

She's told her friends, September, I'm going to Sicily.

I'm getting engaged.

She's built it up too much that this feels like utter rejection, like him saying, let me just do it on my own terms.

Yeah.

So I completely broke internally hearing that, not because he said he doesn't want marriage.

He actually, actually repeatedly reassured me that he does.

He told me he loves me to the moon and back and still thinks about marriage and kids with me.

And even said that after finally being honest with me, he ironically felt more comfortable and more inclined towards wanting to propose because the pressure was finally lifted.
