She's repeated that since saying small businesses shouldn't have to pay for paid parental leave.
And what a lot of other politicians have come out and said is, yeah, that's not the rule.
That's not the policy.
So she kind of seems to be coming out and criticising something that isn't the reality.
About 70% of businesses choose to do their own parental leave.
But that's 30% of businesses who are well within their rights to say maybe we can't afford it.
It's not sustainable.
And paid parental leave payments are going up as of July 1, which I am personally really excited about, gunning for.
