That wasn't a Trump thing.
The US has been trying to move that traumatic violence further and further from its population for a long time.
That's what strong borders are, right?
Strong borders are violent.
Strong borders are tearing families apart.
Strong borders are people dying.
And there is an understanding shared by both parties that Americans don't like seeing dead people.
They don't like seeing families torn apart, as we've seen in the last few years, couple of years.
And so they have sought to move that violence further away from the metropole rather than stopping doing the violence.
Yeah, absolutely.
