It's important to remember that these are all really averages and that every person is going to be different.

And, you know, that it also depends upon, you know, you have young people who are pretty savvy, right?

and looking at the markets and making fine decisions.

But it really depends on the person.

Fluid intelligence is the ability to absorb and process new information and compute numbers.

It's a lot of math skills, whereas crystallized intelligence is the accumulation of facts and knowledge.

And that's the sort of thing that tends to improve with age.

Oh, sure.

A lot of different things.

But one of them that came out in this study was people at younger ages underestimate their life expectancy.

And that's an issue when you're planning for retirement.

And if you are 50 and you say, OK, well, I think I'll live until I'm 76.

And so you plan accordingly to have enough money until you reach 76.

But the actual life expectancy was 86.

Now, this was a survey of Australians.

But in the U.S., Americans tend to underestimate their life expectancy as well.

So that can be something that people need to be aware of as well.
