But I think where I struggle is that sometimes we don't need an equivalency.
Because to be honest with you, the roles have been reversed.
And when the roles have been reversed, those Black folks got indicted real quick whether they were innocent or not, right?
So I think what people are saying is that...
that if it were a different setup, this whole story would be different.
Can you imagine, like I said earlier, if a white kid disappeared when a group of black folks, first of all, that would have been headline news within 48 hours, less than that.
It would have been everywhere.
Disappeared in a lake in Mississippi.
So there are so many levels to how the story is being covered.
to the larger cultural conversations and to how it appears certain people are being protected, to Risi's point, and certain people are not being protected.
And I think what I was pointing out, and it was an amazing conversation.
