And then there's a a big shift in your career uh in the

Uh I wanna say the the late

aughts, early teens, right?

When you basically moved into the nonprofit sector.

So tell me a little bit about that and and kind of how that worked out for you.

And yeah, I mean speaking speaking personally, I also uh spent several years uh working in nonprofit communications and

You know, it's what's funny is is I think a lot of people on both the journalism and the nonprofit side assume that there's like a gigantic shift

And I don't want to say there's not a shift, but the jobs are not as different, I think, as sometimes people think.

Like they're v there's a real sense of mission, I think, there's a real sense of service, I mean at least depending on why you get into the the field, and there's a sense of sense of satisfaction if you're serving folks.

Right.

Yeah.

Uh so

Um, you know, you spend the time at the museum, you have a stint at the ACLU.

Um at what point is it that the opportunity presents itself

uh for you to start writing columns again for uh Kansas Reflector 'cause you predate m you know, I came aboard in the summer of twenty twenty one, but I think you were already on board at that point.

Oh, that's right.

Yeah.

And now you're a member of the uh Kansas Press Association's Hall of Fame.
