living but on the other hand we are still in a relatively low unemployment uh situation most people have jobs even if they're not necessarily the jobs they want and so you know i think it's one of those things where perhaps just the environment you're in how you're feeling kind of about your family as you say your family your town your state

affects a lot.

And certainly someone like Laura Kelly has been focused on business development basically throughout both of her terms as governor.

So they're hearing pretty routinely, at least from the state government, that we're working on the economy.

The economy is a priority.

That's something that's important to us.

And perhaps some of the difference comes from that.

So, Tim, you know, seesawing once again, talking about cannabis, marijuana regulation in Kansas.

Kansas remains one of the few states in the nation to have no legal way for folks to use marijuana, either medically or recreationally.

What are people's beliefs about that?

Well, and I just feel like you can't ignore that point, Tim, just your very last one about the states right next to us in East and West in Kansas.

Because I know that legislators right now have been increasingly talking about, well, states that have legalized, they're having second thoughts.

There's these knockdown effects that it actually isn't going so well.

But I think Kansans in real life, while some of that may be going on, and certainly there's some places where I think there have been some negative effects of legalization, Kansans can still just hop over the border in either direction.

And, you know, there are

I mean, I'm not sure that this is literally true, but certainly figuratively, you can hop over the border and there's a bunch of shops selling marijuana right over the border in Missouri, right there in Colorado.

And people see it and it feels very arbitrary.

Indeed.

So, Morgan, now, again, on the seesaw to really one of the pivotal national issues, I would say, over the past couple, three years, and that's, well, actually, frankly, going back decades, if, you know, depending on how you want to look at it, immigration.
