That's the issue.
If Senator Thune will make the Democrats actually have a talking filibuster, the kind that we saw with Jimmy Stewart and all talking through the night, there's a two-speech rule, and make those Democrats have to come to the floor and tell the American people why they're opposed to voter ID, why they're opposed to only citizens being able to register to vote, why they're opposed to checking the voter rolls to make sure that noncitizens get identified and removed.
If they do that, if they make them go through the two speech rule and go through all of that at the end of that time, at that talking filibuster, the bill can pass and go straight to the president to be signed.
So that's what we need.
We need the Senate to work, to have to show up and have to talk.
The great Chip Roy is leading the charge in the House.
It's his bill.
He's been working very closely with me, with the senators and all to try to get this bill passed.
We have a chance, ladies and gentlemen, with enough pressure on the Senate, we have the chance for the SAVE Act and voter ID and cleaning the voter rolls.
to come to pass and become the law of this land.
If we can get Senator Thune to make them vote.
