I thought, you know, just watching these dudes come up, going to, you know, going to Illinois and doing this thing for a while in the league.
I was like, man, if I could just do that.
And then I didn't grow anymore.
And I was like, man, I got to change.
I got to change sports, you know, but, but just watching these dudes grow up.
I mean, that's, that's what the hood was all about.
I mean, we, we, we play basketball.
Baseball was,
Not an afterthought, but, you know, we hooped, and he was a big name coming up for us.
Right.
And, you know, it was kind of one of those things where the coach had to, like, persuade me to play baseball.
He's like, you know, we got this summer league, and you should play.
And I'm like, eh, not really.
But then I decided, you know, I was like maybe it's something I should do
just so I can see if I'm I'm pretty good at it and got better and better was real raw at the start but I felt like if I could grow a couple more inches and get to where Juwan Howard was I could do it because I remember being the same height as Juwan when we was coming up and then all of a sudden he was 6'8 and I was like damn what happened to me you know what I'm saying but
It just didn't happen.
Man, big time.
I mean, you know, that's what it's all about.
And, you know, when you get that stage, you take advantage of it.
and you're seeing more black kids play, inner-city kids getting out there and playing more baseball.
