Now, look, I'm not saying you shouldn't run like a Steve Hilton statewide in California.

I'm not saying that if people want to do that, sure.

But the real way to build these things is to do it locally.

Go as local as you can in blue states, in areas where you at least can move enough people to make a difference.

But if we're talking swing states, what I do at Citizens Alliance is we work backwards from the presidentials.

So 2028 being the next presidential election, this year in 2026, we look to see, okay, where can we go door to door that will have the greatest impact, not just on the midterms, but also in the 2028 presidential election?

And so you look at states like Pennsylvania, like New Hampshire, Nevada, Arizona.

Those are some of the key areas that if we're in those states building in 2026, it's going to lead to permanent infrastructure and a chance to be successful, whoever the Republican is, in 2028.

That's how we map out what we do at Citizens Alliance.

Well, it's just a numbers game, right?

I mean, if 60 to 65% of all the registered voters either identify as Democrat or vote for the Democrats typically, the ability to transform that, I mean, that's why AOC still wins, right?

She might be insane.

She might be a lunatic,

But I talk about in the book that when people walk into the voting booth, we are in one of the most polarized times in American history.

So a lot of people, they walk in, they're not looking at the name, Dr. Drew, they're just looking at the party, right?

Some states allow you to actually, you know, vote straight ticket where you don't even have to, you literally could just push the button.

But they're not looking at the name.

And so when 50 to 55 percent of people are walking into the booth and voting for the Democrat, it becomes almost impossible for any independent, any Republican.

And so the way to get that transforming is to go local, get enough people furious because, look, eventually California is going to go red.

It might take 50 years, it might take six years, but eventually people are gonna get so tired of the policies that they're gonna flip over, they're gonna change parties because they're gonna want reform.
