I don't know if I am being controversial here, but half a million dollars a year is a lot.
Like that's a lot of money.
And that's without even counting the money that the husband brings in, which is also six figures, right?
$160 a year.
So you guys are very, very comfortable financially.
If you feel like you have a lot of housework to do, I would say hire another nanny or not even hire.
So if you already have a nanny to take care of the child, hire a maid.
hire an au pair.
Hire someone who can literally take care of all the housework so you literally do not have to worry about anything.
The thing about having to sacrifice work and your role in the family is that sometimes your work doesn't pay you enough for you to be able to justify staying.
And sometimes you have to make a decision because...
Childcare is so expensive and getting help in the home can be so expensive.
So unfortunately, a lot of people, especially mothers, and this oftentimes falls mostly on women, they have to give up a job and a career that they are very passionate about in order to take the role of homemaker or take the role of present parent at home.
That's very unfortunate.
Some people make that choice.
Some people don't want to make that choice.
It's completely up to you whether you make that choice or not.
It's also not only...
exclusively for women, right?
A lot of men also do this, but let's just say in society right now, it's mostly women who have to make the sacrifice.
