I make it as an organization that I personally do not believe is really realistic about winning.
I don't know why they won't pay this man the money that he has clearly earned.
He's won two Cy Youngs in a row.
I firmly believe he'll be in the mix to win at least one more.
It's honestly disheartening because I think those fans in Detroit deserve better than this.
This is a very vibrant fan base that you see it when they win.
They show up.
They love their stars.
And the fact that they are making it abundantly clear that they will not pay their best pitching star they've had since the first round of Justin Verlander, quite frankly, I'm not even a Tigers fan and I'm disheartened for them.
Boy, oh boy, the Kawhi situation is interesting, especially if it ends up that Toronto's all of a sudden holding the bag on the suspension.
I do not want to see a world where that happens, because that would be just ugly.
That being said, it's being held up, obviously, for those reasons.
Anytime you're trying to circumvent the cap, which is definitely a problem you're going to have when you have a salary-capped league that should not be salary-capped,
You're going to run into these issues, and frankly, it's just going to be issues that Major League Baseball would run into if this ever were to come into fruition.
Not to mention, that's already a league that's dealing with anti-tanking legislation right now.
So I'm not really certain why anybody thinks a salary cap solves anything in any sport.
As for the LeBron of it all, listen.
I'm not a LeBron hater.
I'm not a LeBron fan.
I'm very appreciative as a Laker fan of what he did for this team.
