If it comes down to game 162 and the Tigers are still trying to get in the playoffs, Tarek Skugel is going to start that game, which means he's not starting game one of the wildcard series.
Means you hope you can use them on short rest in game three of the wild card series.
So as it stands now, it do the Tigers real good to win three in a row, clinch a spot, be able to push Scooble to game one.
Otherwise, you're probably looking at.
Laird-y, my Scooble, or maybe just complete pitching chaos, and then the Scooble in game three.
Yeah, there's a lot going on, a lot still to play out.
Yeah, he was really frazzled after the game.
It was the most, you know, kind of terse I've seen him since maybe his first full season in the major leagues when he wasn't necessarily having great outings.
obviously a lot happened.
He made an error.
He walked or he balked the guy just in the scoring position.
He threw a wild pitch and he hit a guy in the face with a fastball.
So I think, you know, there was the emotional, just feeling bad for the human element of David Fry.
And then there was the baseball being largely responsible for a collapse and getting beat when the guardian sent hit the ball out of the infield.
The cool thing was the human element.
After one of the worst innings of Scooble's career, he went to see David Frye at the hospital.
He rode with, of all people, Guardians manager Stephen Vogt.
So Scooble talked to Frye a little bit.
Vogt dropped him back off at the Tigers hotel, wrote a story with a little more on how all that went down.
And definitely a really cool humanizing moment.
