It feels like the Spurs, if they made the finals, I think it would make them less likely to get Giannis because it probably means they would have beaten the Thunder with their current roster and they would think that young core gets better.
But if they lose to the Thunder this year on...
They had a lot of success against them in the regular season, playoffs a different animal.
You could see a pathway to them getting in the Giannis sweepstakes as well.
I'm trying to think just after reading that.
I didn't read through the whole article on that.
It just came out before I sat down here, so I don't know all the teams that were mentioned.
Don't forget about the Heat.
Well, they're always in it, but they just don't have the capital like some of these other teams do.
That gets you back to the finals, though, if that's the way you feel and you can make that come true.
First, you gotta get out of the play-in, though, if you're the Heat.
Yeah, I would like to see just the chatter around the Boozer versus Caleb Wilson discussion as it plays out.
I think it's really interesting because Caleb Wilson feels like the guy who, in these six weeks before the NBA draft, six, seven weeks, whatever we have here, he's going to be the one that gains momentum, in part because he comes into the discussion kind of as the outsider, right?
The fourth guy behind that.
But
His measurements, his athleticism, agility, these are the things that are going to be on display in drills, right?
He's not going to go out there and play one-on-one against Cameron Boozer or anything.
There are no games for the top prospects left to play.
So everything that's happening, it feels like you'll just hear his name rise and chatter rise, but...
The only thing that really matters in that discussion is what do the Grizzlies think from the Bulls' perspective, certainly.
