Well, obviously, I don't know what it's like between, say, a man and a woman going through a similar situation.

It would be very, very different, clearly.

But when you're being a man or I believe you kind of hit certain periods of your life where instinctively you're supposed to hit your stride, you know.

And I seemed to hit my stride at the right moments.

I recognised that.

I recognised that there was something outside of myself which was at work here and I just had to respond to it.

So I found myself standing in the light, you know, and you go, wow, I'm in the light.

So you respond to that and you've got to step up and you've got to perform or else you shy away from it or else you sabotage it.

You know, you can do all kinds of things to mess it up, you know.

And I wanted to do greater and greater things.

And with a lot of things, I think where you have five or six men together,

communication skills are very limited.

And I think that men at work essentially was a very huge thing.

It was a huge thing which was kept very small by what I consider to be small-mindedness and people not recognising the phenomenon of what we were, you know.

You know, having said that, probably...

It wasn't a band that was really destined to go the distance like a lot of bands do.

I have great respect, whether it's the Rolling Stones or U2 or other bands you mentioned, you could think of that

that seemed to stand the test of time and there seems to be some kind of soul or unifying force within the band.

And that's what we didn't really have in the end, which was really the sad aspect of the bandmen at work.

The bandmen at work was definitely, it was six people, five people on stage.
