YouTube was the last holdout, and now they folded all view counts are.
Fake.
Most videos have a completion rate of five percent or or less.
So one million views is effectively 50,000 real humans watching.
Revenue, non-existent on any plant platform except for YouTube longs, and even that will probably change soon.
This brings us to today millions of broke creators competing for a chance to pop up in reels, to be viewed once by extremely bored users and forgotten forever.
The platforms win, users and creators lose.
This is the worst period for social media.
The creator economy did not deliver for the masses.
It delivered for the top 1% of creators and four platforms.
That's it.
And the sad thing is, I don't even know where to start to fix it.
