So so uh uh going into the elections, it was very clear that the AFD would do very well.

Uh and they have, um, and and that's gonna put uh pressure on the the chancellor, Friedrich Merz.

Um he was already on the defensive yesterday in the Bundestag, they had their first session.

uh after the the summer recess and and afd leader alice weidel was was uh really chomping at the bit to go after merz and and merz really had had no response uh and and people are already speculating when the next election comes down in two weeks on the twentieth in the also east german state of uh mecklenburg.

uh Western Pomerania, which is up by the Baltic Sea there.

Uh if the the CDU does as poorly as uh the the polls are showing now, they have them down at like six percent, then it could be the end of the the Met's government.

Well, there's they're still they're still trying to keep their their firewall intact.

Um, but but like I say, this is the first chink in that wall.

We've seen this leftist party called the uh Sahara Bagenknecht Union, uh founded around a uh a former member of the East German Communist Party.

Um, Sarah Bagenknecht uh say they are willing to enter into negotiations with the AFD and Saxony Anhalt because they they just

Barely missed uh the threshold for an absolute majority in Saxony Anhalt.

Uh, also due to mail-in ballots.

We can talk about that a little bit as well.

Um, but but uh the AFD has 39 seats and they need 41.

And the Bündnis Sauer Wagenknecht has has uh five seats and they may be willing to to enter in some sort of uh coalition or toleration or whatever you want to call it.

Um we'll see where that goes.

I think the AFD would prefer uh a conservative uh partner such as uh such as uh rogue delegates of the Christian Democrats of the Rhino Party.

Um but uh they won't be coming out publicly any time soon, probably.

Well, I don't know.

It's hard to it's really hard to tell.
